HOCKEYSMITH LONELY LOVING ME

It's been over 7 months, since we heard Hockeysmith's deeply experimental return and first solo outing 'Holy War'. The third single from her imminently arriving new EP is a bouncy combination of nostalgic processed drum parts and sugary, soft synth pads. 'Lonely Loving Me' is easily Hockeysmith's poppiest cut to date, showing off a new-found playful streak through its anthemic vocals. Lyrically examining the rocky road of romance, Annie explained, "I wrote this in a cabin in Cornwall one winter after listening to tuns and tuns of early Kylie Minogue. It explores the idea of loving and being loved as an ambitious person. It can be lonely loving yourself and lonely for someone else." Tears At My Age will arrive on the 25th of January. -Holly Mullineaux
